DepEd Siargao Celebrates Success of NQESH 2023 Passers, New School Leaders Rise
DepEd- Siargao Division celebrates another significant milestone as fifteen of its test takers successfully passed the 2023 National Qualifying Examination for School Heads (NQESH). This achievement marks the beginning of new leadership within the island’s schools, reinforcing the division’s commitment to providing quality education to students.
The result released earlier this month- October 18, 2024, saw a commendable number of educators- administrators and teachers from various districts across the division earning their place in the ranks of qualified school leaders. This year, Siargao Division has 15 successful test takers from elementary and secondary levels.
Division Superintendent Dr. Karen l. Galanida expressed pride and optimism over the accomplishments of the passers, noting that this new batch of leaders represents a brighter future for Siargao’s educational landscape.
“The passing of our teachers in NQESH 2023 is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and passion for education. We are confident that they will lead our schools with integrity, competence, and a vision to uplift the quality of learning for our children,” Dr. Galanida said during a ceremony held at the Division Office.
Many of the successful passers shared their journey to success, highlighting the rigorous preparation and support they received from their peers and mentors within the Siargao Division. Christopher Salvaloza, HT-I of Mabuhay Elementary School, one of the passers, emphasized how the NQESH experience has prepared him for the challenges ahead. Specially when he was notified late for his eligibility to take due to circumstances.
“This is more than just a personal achievement. It’s about being ready to make a difference in our communities, especially in ensuring that our schools are places of learning and growth for our students,” he shared.
The DepEd Siargao Division is confident that this batch of NQESH passers will contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of the division’s educational system. Their leadership is anticipated to drive the progress of the schools, ensuring that quality education remains accessible and that students receive the support they need to thrive. – DIO/KEAbuton
